Clog Heroes, Your Brandy Station, VA Plumber Beside Fleetwood Hill
Clog Heroes takes plumbing, drain and sewer calls in Brandy Station, Culpeper County. Brandy Station was a small crossroads until the Orange and Alexandria Railroad arrived in the mid-1800s. The village grew up around it.
Many of the village's older houses sit south of Route 15/29 and the railroad, and date to the late 1800s and early 1900s. Houses that age call for a careful look, and that's where our technician begins. Questions about the old pipes are welcome, and the price is on paper before any work.
The Largest Cavalry Battle of the Civil War
On June 9, 1863, Brandy Station saw the largest cavalry fight of the Civil War. The American Battlefield Trust calls it the opening engagement of the Gettysburg Campaign.
The Trust has saved more than 2,000 acres here, more than at any other battlefield in the country.
Start at the Graffiti House, which the Brandy Station Foundation runs as the battlefield's visitor center and museum. The battlefield itself lies along Route 29, and tours set out from the Graffiti House.
Three Trails in the State Park
Brandy Station is part of Culpeper Battlefields State Park, which has three trails here. The Fleetwood Hill trail is a 0.26-mile walk past 10 interpretive signs. The Buford's Knoll trail runs 2.52 miles.
Looking ahead, the county plan names the Brandy Station and Elkwood area as a key place for future water and sewer investment.
