Clog Heroes, the Mineral, VA Plumber in Louisa County's Old Gold Town

Plumbing, drain and sewer work in Mineral, Louisa County, is part of what Clog Heroes covers. Mineral answered to Tolersville until 1902. Then the mines gave it a new name. At the peak, fifteen gold mines worked within two miles of town, and a zinc and lead mine kept going into the 1970s.

Clog Heroes takes care of plumbing, drains and sewer lines in Mineral homes now. Tell the technician what you've noticed; they'll find the cause and tell you plainly what it will cost before starting.

The C&O Depot and Mineral Avenue

The historic C&O Depot and the Mineral Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, carry that mining-town past forward.

State Routes 22 and 208 and U.S. Route 522 connect the town. Mineral Avenue handles the local trips, and the town office is at 312 Mineral Avenue.

Lake Anna, parks and a library are all on Louisa County's list of attractions near Mineral.

A Town Well System and Houses From 1960

Mineral runs its own show on water. The town owns and operates its well system, treats the water with chlorine and buys from Louisa County when it needs more. Some properties are on private wells and septic systems instead.

That county supply comes from a 40-year agreement signed in 2002 with the Louisa County Water Authority, delivered near the intersection of Routes 22 and 522. The town also provides sewer, trash and recycling.

The houses have stories, too. Mineral's median home was built in 1960, about 75 percent of its 193 housing units predate 1980 and 34 percent predate 1950. Pipes that old need a technician who looks before reaching for a saw.
